Oh yea… if this puppy comes with a keyboard and is on AT&T… I’ll be on the early adopters list!

You may or may not know who Hanna Barberra is or was… but maybe you’ll remember names like: Scooby Doo, Smurfs, Captain Caveman, Wacky Race, etc…
These are cartoons of my generation.
My kids have discovered them on Boomerang (retro cartoons channel) and that’s now all they like to watch on TV. Too funny!
I was telling Alice that our kids are going to be able to relate to all their friends’ parents… and not their friends at school.

What are your kids’ favorite songs? Here’s the list of songs that I find my kids singing all the time… with or without the music.

Today was the first day of organized soccer for Lauren and Thomas. I think they had a blast… although they were admittedly tired. I need to get them some athletic shorts and soccer cleats!

I thought this was pretty funny… The other night, we were at Ruby Tuesday’s with the family and my sister was there. She’s planning on having Lauren be a flower-girl at her wedding later this year and was trying to tell Lauren all about that role. The conversation turned into one of marriage and weddings, and Lauren said, “I don’t want to get married…”
We told her it’ll be her decision to get married or not, but I asked her why she did not want to get married.
She said, “Because she doesn’t like kissing.”
I thought it was pretty funny…

Slowly but surely, I’ve been clearing the weeds away from the vegetable garden. It’s not that big and it shouldn’t take that long, but it has. Anyways, got home before Alice, who promised to make dinner, so off to the garden. Pulling weeds and tilling soil with the kids. Soil is everywhere.
Then they discovered the worms…
Lots of earthworms in the dirt, and they decided they’d start collecting them in a cup. They probably collected 50 or so when all was said and done.
What I found most interesting was that all the kids were more than happy to pick up the worms with their bare hands. All three of them — no big deal. I used to do that as a kid all the time too… I guess there’s simply nothing scary about an earthworm.
When dinner was finally ready, the kids brought the cup full of worms to show mommy – who was promptly grossed out – and then Nicholas dumped the worms out on to the deck. Daddy scooped up the ones which hadn’t fallen through the gaps in the decking boards and tossed ‘em all back into the garden to be collected another day.
