Yesterday, Lauren was playing hopscotch in the kitchen on her “Little Einstens” hopscotch toy. Unfortunately she misstepped at one point and apparently sprained her ankle. We put an ice pack on the ankle, and took care of Lauren the rest of the night.
When she awoke, she still couldn’t put much weight on it and was complaining of pain. Long story short, we ended up keeping her from school and took her to urgent care. They took an xray and didn’t immediately see any fractures or anything like that, but there were some areas that were still questionable. As a result, we’ve got a specialist appt for next week, and Lauren is wearing a cast.
All night long, Lauren has been milking this extra attention. It’s pretty amusing, actually…
